*Prayer
of Confession
LISTEN IN Almighty
God: in love you spread good gifts before us, more than we need or
deserve. You feed, heal, teach, and save us. We confess that we always
want more; that we never share as freely as you give. We resent what we
lack, and are jealous of neighbors. We misuse what you intend for joy.
God, forgive our stubborn greed, and our destructiveness. In mercy,
help us to take such pleasure in your goodness that we will always be
thanking you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
*Silent Confession *Declaration of Forgiveness: Leader: Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Friends, believe the good news. People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Amen. *Response: Hymnal #276 "Great is Thy Faithfulness" Great
is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning
with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not; As Thou
has been Thou forever wilt be. Great is Thy Faithfulness! Great is Thy
Faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed
Thy hand hath provided; Great is Thy Faithfulness! Lord unto me! Special

LISTEN IN Psalm 146 Leader:
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul. People: While I live I
will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my
being. Leader: Do not put trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. People: His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; in that very day his plans perish. Leader: Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, People: Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever, Leader: Who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners. People: The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; the Lord raises those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. Leader:
The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and
widow; but the way of the wicked He turns upside down. People: The Lord shall reign forever—your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord!
