Call
to Worship Leader:
Bless the Lord, all people; bless God's holy name. People:
We have come this day to worship and to sit in Christ's presence. Leader:
Jesus teaches the way of God with the truth, showing deference to no
one. People:
We have come to learn from the eternal Word of God, full of grace
and truth, who leads us in the way of salvation in this life and the
next. Leader:
Jesus loves children and told the adults to let children come to him
and from him learn about God’s love for them. Children:
We want to know that God loves us and to learn about God and to love
God.
Greeting
LISTEN IN Pastor:
The Lord be with you. People:

Prayer of Confession
LISTEN IN Merciful
God, forgive us for the sins we intentionally commit and those we
commit by neglecting what we should do; for the sins we enjoyed and
those we did not; for the sins with which we hurt ourselves and those
when we hurt others; for the sins which we committed that caused
embarrassment to your church and to our families; and for the sin of
thinking of ourselves when we should have thought of others. Merciful
God, we humbly ask your pardon. May your cleansing Spirit wash over
us and remove the guilt and stains of those sins. With your grace
and forgiveness, help us live as Jesus Christ asked and commanded us
to do. We pray this to the glory and in the name of Christ our
Savior. Amen.
*Silent

(Selected)
LISTEN IN Leader:
Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the
words of my mouth. People:
I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of
old. Leader:
Things that we have heard and known, that our ancestors have told
us. People:
We will not hide them from their children; Leader:
We will tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the
Lord, People:
And his might, and the wonders that he has done. Leader:
He established a decree and a law in Israel, and He commanded our
ancestors to teach their children, People:
That the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, Leader:
And rise up and tell them to their children, so that they should set
their hope in God, People:
And not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.
