LISTEN IN * Prayer of Confession Faithful
God, in baptism you claimed us and called us as your own. By your
Spirit, you work in our lives empowering us to live a life worthy of
your calling. Forgive us when we forget you and fail to live as your
sons and daughters. Forgive us when we work against you through the
choices we make. Merciful God, cleanse our hearts that we might be
faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. It is in His name we pray
this. Amen. *Silent Confession
^Declaration of Forgiveness Pastor: God comes to those who welcome even a child in the name of Jesus. Friends, believe the good news. People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Amen.
^Response: #280 (Vv. 1-2) "Amazing Grace" Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found, Was blind, but now I see. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed!
