      People:  Sing praises to our King, sing praises.

Greeting

Prayer of the Day                                               LISTEN IN

 *Hymnal:     TOSB #142                       “We Will Glorify”

 * Prayer of Confession                                          LISTEN IN

Lord God, you have created our hearts large enough for abundant life.  But we confess that too often we have settled for lesser things.  Too tired to reach out, too distracted to be faithful, too rebellious to receive your love and grace, we too easily accept where we are.  We become content with a mediocre hope.  Startle us with your good news of love and forgiveness that we might experience your gift of real life and trust you with a child-like faith.   Amen.

*Silent Confession

  *Declaration of Forgiveness

      Pastor: God comes to those who welcome even a child in the name of Jesus.  Friends, believe the good news.

      People:   In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.  Amen.

 *Response:  #326     “Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart”

      Spirit of God, descend upon my heart;

      Wean it from earth, through all its pulses move;

      Stoop to my weakness, mighty as Thou art,

      And make me love Thee as I ought to love.
