Prayer of the Day LISTEN IN
(Pass prayer

*Hymnal: #469 “Morning Has Broken”
* Prayer of
Confession
Creator
God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we confess that by our sin we have brought
chaos to your order. We have tarnished
your creation in our world and in our lives, because we doubt that it is good
enough, and we desire more than we have received. By your mercy, forgive us and repair what we
in our anxiety have corrupted. Restore
to us the joy of a people who live by the work of your hands. We humbly ask this. Amen.
*Silent Confession
*Declaration of Forgiveness
Pastor: Gracious is the
Lord and righteous; our God is full of compassion. When we are brought low, God saves us. Friends, believe the
good news.
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Amen.
*Response: #455 (v.5)

King”
And everyone of tender
heart, Forgiving others, take your part.
O Sing
ye! Alleluia! Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,
Praise God and cast on God your care!

* Psalms 8 & 104 (Selected, NIV)
Leader: O Lord, our Lord, how
majestic is your name in all the earth!
People:
You have set your glory above the heavens.
Leader: From the lips of children
and infants you have ordained praise.
People: When I consider your heavens, the work of
your fingers,
Leader:
The moon and the stars which you have set in place -
People: What is man that you are mindful of him, and
the son of man that you care for him.
Leader:
God wraps himself in light as a garment; He stretches out the heavens
like a tent.
People: He makes the clouds his chariot – He makes
the winds his messengers.
Leader:
He makes springs pour water to flow between the mountains, to give water
to all beasts of the field.
People: The birds of the air nest by the waters; they
sing among the branches.
Leader: He
makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for man to cultivate,
People: Bringing forth food from the earth – and
bread that sustains his heart.
Leader: You made man ruler over the works of your
hands; you put everything under his feet:
People: All flocks and herds, the beasts of the
field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the seas, all that swim the paths
of the seas.
All: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name
in all the earth!
