Based on Psalm 33:1, 12, 22

People: And also with you.

Prayer of the Day   LISTEN IN

(Pass prayer requests to the aisle; ushers will collect them.)

*Hymnal: TOSB #249 “We Have Come into His House”

* Prayer of Confession   LISTEN IN

You have called us, O God, to be a holy priesthood witnessing to your grace and love for all. We confess to abusing our status as your chosen people, and quickly passing judgment on others. Too often we are concerned with our own personal interests rather than your vision of peace and justice for all. We have not loved or welcomed our neighbors as ourselves. By words and deeds, by what we have done and what we have left undone, we have failed to love you with all our heart, mind, and strength. Have mercy on us, we pray. Forgive us and renew us in our commitment to embody the way, the truth, and the life revealed in your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

*Silent Confession

*Declaration of Forgiveness

Pastor: God’s grace is all you need. Divine power comes to full strength in our weakness. Friends, believe the good news.

People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Amen.

*Response: #366 (v. 1) “Jesus, Thy Boundless Love to Me”

Jesus, thy boundless love to me, No thought can reach, no tongue declare:

O knit my thankful heart to Thee, And reign without a rival there!

Thine wholly, Thine alone, I’d live, Myself to Thee entirely give.
