Kettle Moraine United Presbyterian Church
is active in Mission:
Presbyterian Women prepare several
Layetts
each year containing blankets,
diapers and
baby items that are sewn, knit
and crochetted
with love.
KMUPC actively particpates in
Samaritan's
Purse Operation Christmas Child
and provides
Christmas gift boxes to families
where a
parent is jail confined.
Youth is active in numerous activites
that
include fundraisers, food drives,
and delivery
of Christmas gift boxes.
Members have participated in
missions to
Mississippi and Louisiana to
help reconstruction
efforts.
Members participate locally working with Habitat
for Humanity.
A member of our Congregation, Dr. Arlen Denny is the CoFounder of Medical Missions to Colombia,
established in 1987 and specializing
in deformities
of the face jaws and skull from
trauma, and
birth defects in children and
adults. He
has led medical teams for 20
years going
to Colombia. He recently commented
that he
was driven to mission to use
the skills with
which he has been blessed to
help others.
Generous financial support is provided to
several missionairies working around the
Globe. One such organization Africa Circle of Hope brings hope to babies and children in Kenya.
Current mission opportunities:
New Life Presbyterian Church: On
Monday April 21st, Pastor Wayne, Emily Guderyon, Patricia Mauel, and
Judy Warner met with Pastor Terrel Cistruck of New Life Presbyterian
Church in Milwaukee. New Life currently has 160 members adding 42
new members since October. Their Food Pantry serves 7000 families/year.
They have a fantastic tutoring program led by eight retired teachers. Here indeed is a church which is dedicated to doing great things in their community. They also have great needs: > Furniture > Good used clothing >School supplies We wish to help! If you can donate any of the items contact Judy or Patricia. They
also need some maintenance and construction assistance, if you are able
to help please advise Art Schneidewind and we'll schedule a date and
time.
June Successes: Pastor Emeritus John Baumann organized a successful trip to Jeremiah's Crossing, a ranch where horses help kids in need.
2> Pastor Wayne and a group from KMUPC visited Gays Mills, FonduLac and Ripon working to repair damages caused by severe flooding.
October:
Crossroads is planning a second
trip to Slidell,
LA for the last week in October.
