The youth activities at Kettle Moraine United Presbyterian church have worked to develop our youth membership while aiding many with needs.

Youth activities include delivering the "Angel Tree" gifts to children of imprisoned parents and performing maintenance duties at a variety of camps for handicapped children. In addition the youth play a valued role in our services.

This summer youth participated in mission to Gays mills, WI where they aided flood victims. Youth also assisted in the movement of our church library.

Youth Group is led by long time member Mary Steinbauer who works to maintain an active group with creative interests.

SUNDAY MESSAGE ACADEMY NEWS

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all the head
teachers, teachers, & especially all the children & their parents for
making our first month a great success.

We had so many children in the 4k thru second grade that we
divided the class into two groups. 4k & kindergarten are in the
"yellow" room and 1st & 2nd grade are in the "blue" room. The
teachers that were assigned to the first group 4k-2n gr. will now be
teaching 1& 2 grades. Jan Mahaney has taken over the 4K -
kindergarten group for the last couple of weeks & we thank her for
that endeavor. She is willing to help out in Oct. Nov. & Dec. but
she has other commitments & she would like to attend church
sometime. If you would like to help out with the little ones, please
contact Mary Steinbauer.

A reminder On the first Sunday of every month we don't go into
the church but come right down stairs for our mini worship. We
will be taking offering at this time which will go towards the
Heifer Project. After the worship time the children will go to their
classrooms.

Looking ahead.. .There will be NO Message Academy on Nov. 2,
2008, due to teacher's convention.

If you have concerns or any ideas about our program please feel
free to contact me at any time.

Have a Blessed October, Mary Steinbauer
